CASE STUDY
Elaine (A Box of Tricks)

Elaine is an interior designer and works with new builds styling their show homes.

In the past, after Elaine finished a show home, a photographer would be commissioned to photograph the space for the company.

Elaine had a basic camera set up and wanted to learn how to photograph the show home after she completed the work, offering it as an added value to her clients.

THE TRAINING

  • Finding “Go-to” settings on her camera and lenses that guaranteed good quality images for printing and online use

  • Dealing with difficult room shapes

  • Dealing with poor lighting

  • Reducing converging lines in the images

  • Making sure the rooms key features are highlighted

  • Good narrative

Elaine also had a follow up mini session when she invested in a new lens and wanted to make sure she was using it correctly.

THE OUTCOME

Straight after the training Elaine had a client book her to take the photos after she finished styling the show home.

I was able to jump on a video call with Elaine as she was doing the shoot so she could ask any questions.

Her client was very happy with the images, and Elaine is now more confident in the added service she offers her clients.
