CASE STUDY
Louise (Something Kind of Woo)
Louise has just opened up her crystal shop in Wiltshire called Something Kind of Woo
Louise's immediate needs was to learn to take good consistent photos of her products to go on her e-commerce website as well as her social media.
She only has her phone camera (android) and wasn’t sure of the best place to take the photos, or the best settings. She also wanted advice on backgrounds and style.

THE TRAINING
-
Finding the best place to set up a shooting area using natural light
-
Working out the best photo board and background to use
-
The best settings on her phone camera
-
Composition - where to place the item in the frame
-
Dealing with high contrast items and getting the best exposure
-
Basic macro settings for very small items
-
Basic editing on the phone
-
Three Key Images for the selling page on her website
-
Starting basic arty images with products (seeing key details)
THE OUTCOME
Louise is already using her photography training to provide consistent images for her website. Her web designer has said what a difference it has made, how great it is to work with a client who has had the training; it means her website is going to look far better than if she was using random stock images.
Louise has now moved into her shop since her first session, so I will do a follow up mini session with to make sure she can transfer her new skills to her new space before we do anything else.
